It came with the following instruction:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Okay, here&#8217;s what you&#8217;re supposed to do, and try not<br \/>\nto be lame and spoil the fun!  Just copy (do not<br \/>\nforward) this entire e-mail and paste into a new<br \/>\nE-mail that you can send. Change all the answers so<br \/>\nthat they apply to you. Then send this to a whole<br \/>\nbunch of people you know, INCLUDING the person that<br \/>\nsent to you. Some of you may get this several times<br \/>\nthat means you have lots of Friends.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more So here are my answers.--><\/p>\n<p>1. What is your occupation?<br \/>\nSessional Lecturer, Philosophy department, U of Guelph; also a writer.<\/p>\n<p>2. What color are your socks right now?<br \/>\nnavy blue<\/p>\n<p>3. What are you listening to right now?<br \/>\nWagner&#8217;s opera, <i>Tannhauser<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>4. What was the last thing that you ate?<br \/>\nCheese and tomato sandwich.<\/p>\n<p>5. Can you drive a stick shift?<br \/>\nYes.  But I&#8217;m not allowed to.  I haven&#8217;t got a license!<\/p>\n<p>6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be?<br \/>\nWhat the hell kind of question is that?  Gawd, sometimes these email surveys are stupid.<\/p>\n<p>7. Last person you spoke to on the phone?<br \/>\nMy friend Tom, someone I&#8217;ve known since high school, and the longest-running friend I have.<\/p>\n<p>8. Do you like the person who sent this to you?<br \/>\nYes.  She&#8217;s my sister, what else am I going to say?<\/p>\n<p>9. How old are you today?<br \/>\n32.<\/p>\n<p>10. Favorite drink?<br \/>\nEarl-grey tea with a spoonful of honey (no milk or sugar)&#8230; or a glass of amaretto.<\/p>\n<p>11. What is your favorite sport to watch?<br \/>\nThe Olympic Games<\/p>\n<p>12. Have you ever dyed your hair?<br \/>\nNo<\/p>\n<p>13. Pets?<br \/>\nI used to have cats, but not anymore.<\/p>\n<p>14. Favorite food?<br \/>\nWhatever is served for a collectively-prepared feast with my pagan friends on one of the eight festivals.<\/p>\n<p>15. What was the last movie you watched?<br \/>\n&#8220;Zelary&#8221; &#8211; A Czech movie about a woman who hides from the Gestapo in the countryside of eastern europe, and falls in love with a farmer.  Absolutely beautiful film.  Made me want to move back to Europe.<\/p>\n<p>16. Favorite day of the year?<br \/>\nThe first day of spring.<\/p>\n<p>17. What do you do to vent anger?<br \/>\nPush-ups.  I can do about 40-50 before my arms get too tired.<\/p>\n<p>18. What was your favorite toy as a child?<br \/>\nLego.<\/p>\n<p>19. What is your favorite, fall or spring?<br \/>\nSpring, definetly.<\/p>\n<p>21. Cherries or blueberries?<br \/>\nCherries. <\/p>\n<p>22. Who is least likely to respond?<br \/>\nDon&#8217;t know.<\/p>\n<p>25.  living arrangements?<br \/>\nWith my parents and brother Turlough, in the family home.  Looking for a way out, too.<\/p>\n<p>26.  When was the last time you cried?<br \/>\nJuly of 2006, during &#8220;Spirits of the Earth&#8221; pagan festival near London, Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>27. What is on the floor of your closet?<br \/>\nBoxes of old stuff belonging to other people in my family, in storage.<\/p>\n<p>28. Who is the friend you have had the longest that you are sending this to?<br \/>\nAmong LJ readers, it&#8217;s hard to say.  Probably Amy.  Among email people, certain family members.<\/p>\n<p>29. What did you do last night?<br \/>\nWatched &#8220;Zelary&#8221;, talked with my brother Cairan about the contents of the book I&#8217;m working on, and his &#8220;Human Science&#8221; programme at UW.<\/p>\n<p>30. Favorite smells?<br \/>\ncampfire smells. Also, freshly baked bread.<\/p>\n<p>31. What inspires you?<br \/>\nThe sun, the moon, the earth, the sea, my friends, philosophy, literature, music, architecture, and the future.<\/p>\n<p>32. What are you afraid of?<br \/>\nI&#8217;m not saying on LJ.<\/p>\n<p>33. Plain, cheese or spicy hamburgers?<br \/>\nCan&#8217;t think of the last time I ate a hamburger.<\/p>\n<p>35. Number of keys on your key ring?<br \/>\nEight.<\/p>\n<p>36. How many years at your current job?<br \/>\nLess than one, as a lecturer; about three, as a writer (while getting paid for it).<\/p>\n<p>37. Favorite day of the week?<br \/>\nSaturday<\/p>\n<p>38. How many states have you lived in?<br \/>\nThree: Canada, Ireland, and Germany.  Within Canada I&#8217;ve lived in three different Ontario cities, and Newfoundland; within Ireland I lived in Galway and in county Meath.<\/p>\n<p>39. Favorite holidays?<br \/>\nBeltaine, Samhain, and Kaleidoscope Festival.<\/p>\n<p>40.
