It follows the adventures of characters who, while having problems in their private lives, find themselves caught in a conflict between rival factions of an ancient secret society, whose members are the descendants of Celtic and Roman gods. But the lead heroes are often morally ambiguous; the villains are often motivated by social justice; and the world in which they live is rapidly disappearing.
